Why Get Baptized?

THE LIFE-CHANGING SIGNIFICANCE OF THE BAPTISM

Getting baptized is an outward physical expression of your inner transformation. It is a public declaration of your firm commitment to a new life in Christ. It represents the death of sin in your life and your old ways, while briefly being submerged in the water. Symbolically you then rise up changed as a new person through the Word of God. It unites you with Christ and mirrors His death and resurrection. Christ died for your sins and paid the price for your freedom in his salvation. Baptism is an act of obedience to our Savior and it shows your desire to please God.

“Having been buried with Him in baptism, in which you were also raised up with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead”
