About the Event

Over the course of training, participants will learn to:
Recognize general behavioral indicators associated with people affected by a mental health disorder.
Examine the causes and nature of mental health disorders.
Demonstrate understanding of strategies that help reduce stigma associated with mental illness.
Recognize appropriate responses and methods of communication when working with individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis.
Identify local resources available to individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis.
